Dr.
Robert Vandenberg provides general eye care with an emphasis
in eye health, contact lenses, computer vision and refractive
surgery consultation. Robert grew up in San Jose and graduated
from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree
in economics. He attended professional school at University
of California at Berkeley School of Optometry and graduated
first with a Bachelor of Science degree in Optometry and
subsequently with a Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Vandenberg
has the following certifications: California Therapeutics
License 1994, Lasik Co-management Certification 1999, Punctile
Dilation and plugs 2001.
Dr. Vandenberg opened his own practice in San Jose in
1987 and moved to his present location in Los Gatos
in 1994. Many of his original clients are active patients.
He sees clients that travel to his office from out of
state for their eye care needs. His wife, Gudrun, has
been in charge of eyewear purchases and Ed Boxer is
the Office Manager, a contact lens specialist, who also
takes pride in current frame styles. All of the staff
is trained to provide professional service.
The Dr. has developed a family oriented practice. Patients
are usually known by name and are encouraged to come in
for adjustments to their glasses. The office has developed
a style where patients are treated like the staff would
like to be served.
